A beautifully written book that touches the soul. Highly recommend for those who enjoy a quiet poem before bed, or to escape reality. Stephen has done a phenomenal job as a wordsmith.
This book of poetry traces feelings I think we have all had growing up and in our present lives. Such a patchwork of vital emotions. An easy read, but one that you will pick up again and again to recapture the remembrances and images that feel so true. Love it!
This book of poetry is a little journey through sections of human life. It is divided into chapters, as is seen on the cover. My favorite of them all is in the chapter, "People," a piece titled "Time Was," --
Time Was
I remember Grandpa wheezing
Into his old harmonica,
And just enough notes
Stumbling out
To Know there was a tune...
Once.
I see the tear
In his eye as he tells
Of being the Best
In that contest
So long ago.
